Horrible front desk service. Guidelines differ from each hotel. Now 1 membership per room required or pay up charge fee. Decided against the fee, other room already had membership. Told checkin all at 15:00. Ok no problem. Return at 15:00 told now only membership room can get key, non membership checkin at now 16:00. If they just told us that up font it would have been fine, but they didn’t. Other than that normal rock hard bed, tiny bathrooms. Only thing good was the hot water. Oh and there were stains in sheet, old ones. Laid pajamas down to cover it since it was already a pain to get room and too tired to complain upfront.

Stayed here for four nights and found it to be pretty comfortable. Check in was easy with friendly staff that seemed to speak English well. Room was clean with daily room service that is pretty efficient. I was on the six floor and was very quite room at night. Location is not to far away from Sendai station but be a where you are looking for Toyoko Inn Number 2 building. There is a very very small laundry room on the ground floor with just two washing machines and three dryers. Soap available. English instructions. For me the WiFi internet was a problem. Was able to connect ok but it seemed the speed and signal strength was cut back from 9am to 9pm. After 9pm connection and speed was very fast as well as downloads. Some nights I found a different unlocked server and I used it,might have been the next door building. Overall was happy with my stay.

Like all Toyoko Inns, clean, all the usual amenities and friendly staff. It's a five-ten minute walk to the station, lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby and shopping. I stayed here as a base to go to Matsushima and as it's a part of Japan that suffered badly with the Tsunami it's a place that ought to be on more tourist itineraries.
