The hotel has an excellent value for money and is ideally located for exploring Matsumoto. However, be warned: the rooms are cramped and, in a rare event, the reception announces a persistent odour problem at the outset. A decent stay if you are very little in your room, but to avoid if you are sensitive to confined atmospheres.

Excellent location to the train station and the many restaurants in any direction. The staff are excellent and allowed us an early check in. The room was very clean and comfortable. The room was made up everyday. It was very good value for money.

We booked through agoda.com for a reasonable price. We arrived by train and literally walked across the street to the hotel. Check-in is at 3pm and like most Japanese business hotels they are strict about not letting you in early. The staff were friendly and spoke English. We had breakfast included, either Western or Japanese. We opted for the Japanese breakfast and it was great plus you get unlimited coffee or juice. Our room was small but adequate with a double bed that was a bit hard. There is a small refrigerator and kettle. The bathroom had a tub and Toto toilet. The location is great. You can hop on the town sneaker buses that make a loop to various attractions. We opted for the 500¥ daily unlimited ticket which also gives you a discount at different venues such as the castle and art museum. There are several convenience stores nearby and plenty of restaurants. We would stay here again.
