Our first time skiing was in Nozawa. This is a quaint little town with access to some really good slopes. There aren't a lot of quality accommodation options in town, so when we came across this one we booked it in a heartbeat. Attentive service, great food, and comfortable rooms. There is an onsen located with the hotel that is open to hotel guests. It's quite traditional so don't expect anything modern (the TV looks like it's from the 80s) when you stay here. Recommend!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Ryokan Sakaya for 5 nights with a tour of several people with Ski Japan. The traditional Japanese Inn was charming, authentic, very clean, incredible location to the restaurants, the mountain, and other village shops. The Onsen was my favorite- so picturesque and relaxing! The staff is remarkable and so accommodating. We had a futon room and asked for extra padding and pillows, which helped tremendously. The in-house massage therapist is off the charts. Loved the Ski gear room too.

I stayed overnight with a friend. I stayed there once, quite a long time ago. My impression at that time was generally good. This time, I chose this inn at the request of a friend who wanted to stay at a Nozawa Onsen inn. The facilities seem to have been modified a lot later, but they are basically the same old as they were at the time. There was one surly young man in the employee's service, and it made a lot of impressions for this one person. The impressions of other people were generally good, but overall it was not a luxury inn serving customers. The hot springs are flowing rocks. I think the large public baths, which supply hot water from Nozawa Onsen at a natural temperature, are quite laborious. Some people might say they choose this inn because they want to take a bath in this hot spring. The food is not bad, but given the higher prices for inbound travelers, I can assure you that cospa is not good. It was from an inn in the low-to-mid 10,000s, including ingredients. In conclusion, the hot springs were meteoric, but the rest were mediocre and not cost-effective. We've seen some aspects of it that feel uncomfortable being a long-established company, so we should review the service aspect.
