I traveled alone for three nights. We knew there were no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so we recommend buying food and drinks at the Sanei (supermarket) near the airport before checking in. Sure enough, the hotel's vending machines were almost sold out. However, even though the room was single, the bed was semi-double and clean, and there was a large public bath, so I was comfortable after 48 minutes. During my stay, I went to nearby Kuruma Island in Idlib and took a snorkeling tour. It felt more like a business hotel than a luxury resort hotel, but I was very happy.

The hotel is about 10 mintues by taxi/rental car from the airport. Staff speak limited English, but this didn't cause any difficulties. Rooms are clean and have balconies (some overlooking the sea). The hotel has two buildings, I recommend a room in the main building as the views are nicer. It mainly caters to divers, but the beach is less than a minute's walk away with soft white sand and clear waters. There are no shops nearby, although there are drink vending machines on site and they serve breakfast and dinner. I only experienced the breakfast which was a hot/cold buffet (mostly japanese style). You can rent bicycles if you don't have a car (the island is flat!). I would definitely stay here again, just for the beach!

Stayed for 6 nights at the MLM. I am not a diver and booked the hotel solely on its proximity to Yonahamaehama beach. For that reason it did not disappoint. The hotel itself is set in green surroundings and is very quiet. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet was OK. Rooms are of the business hotel variety. Another plus point was the ability to rent a mamachari from the hotel, so as to explore more of Miyakojima. (I actually recommended a friend the MLM and she reported that she was very happy with her stay too.)
