This hotel is located in the center of Soapland in Naha near the wharf district. The price is reasonable but not the best choice of hotel in the area. In other words, there are other hotels for the same price with better facilities than the Continental Hotel. This hotel is not kept very clean lacked various amenities for comfort. If you stay there this is at least a one-nighter until you could find something nearby in the same area. The rooms are very small musky and dusty smell and not well lighted. The bath room is small, heated toilet seat, water spray for your bum, bathtub about 4X2 feet combination shower and sink faucet. It is very quiet with no security problems and very few guests. There are very no restaurants, coffee shops or bars nearby but there are ramen places that sell beer and Saki within 5 minutes walking. For incidentals there is a Japanese super market about 7 minute walk from the hotel which is very good for anything you might need like ice and other beverages including food and snacks. The other equivalent hotels in the area all cost 3,000-5,000 yen some better some worse. On the same street further down about 50-100 meters there are some very good 3-5 star hotels. If you like soapy massages and whatever else this hotel is in the middle of the area. Staff was friendly spoke fair English gave directions clearly and helpful. The Marishi Market (city market) is located about 15 minutes taxi drive (800 yen) and the airport (1200 yen) is about 25 minutes taxi drive from this hotel. At the market you will find lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and Burger King, McDonalds, many sushi places. If you like ramen most ramen soups will cost about 800 yen per setting but these soups are very filling served with pork hocks and pickled vegetable dish and rice as a side. Hope you enjoy your stay.
