Toyoko-inn Wakoshi Station

Illogical staff standing at the front desk. Instead of helping the foreign tourists they show their clock for everything. They are unable to understand because of the language barrier but Checkin - shows clock ..timing is 1500 hrs. Wherein we said we will pay for early checkin !! Breakfast - Shows clock - wherein we came at 06:20 hrs The staff was eating breakfast and the food was laid there but refused to cater to us, the staff simply refused showing the clock 06:30 !!! I told him that we want to have it now as the breakfast is already set and the staff is having it, and the staff simply refused and we left to catch our train without food !! Is that not stupid on the staff and hotels part with such rules and policies !! Very small rooms with cigarette smoke smell everywhere ...!! Nothing much can be expected from such hotels but for the price paid, basic courtesy is at least expected...never coming back !!

When I drove to Tokyo (towards Ikebukuro and Shibuya), hotel prices in Tokyo had soared considerably, so I removed the city and stayed here. Before check-in, park at the coin parking near the hotel and take the subway from Wakoshi Station to Tokyo ~ Return at night to check-in. Traveling towards Ikebukuro and Shibuya was easy, and I was glad to stay here.

Convenient place by train station and Ito Yorkado department store right behind. Restaurant, drugstore and game center are there. Bed was a bit hard for my taste but they even offer free breakfast. Check out is 10am but if rooms are available, extend of time to 1pm. Each extended time will cost ¥1000. Room is clean. Good deal
