The view is good. Clean. There's all sorts of shops nearby. You can shop for what you need right away. There's no problem if you don't eat dinner at the hotel. It's just a shame there's no spa 😢

A pretty old hotel which requires immediate maintenance & upgrading. Interior decoration fairly basic but clean. Though staying during the autumn time, the air-conditioning inside the room pretty stuffy which made us fairly uncomfortable. Set dinner was quite good but breakfast choices quite limited. Stayed at the lake-facing room, views were ok but not breathtaking.

This hotel is a nice but spartan hotel on Lake Biwa. Great views of the lake. Wonderful neighborhood for early morning walk or run. Comfortable with fair food and great Japanese hospitality. I would recommend this hotel.
