Hotel Abant Shizuoka is center location near train station. Shizuoka Tokyo square shopping is near hotel. Look like business hotel and parking fee 1100Y per night. Room is compact with common facilities. Reasonable to pay.

I have to start this review by saying that I accidentally booked a room on the smokers floor. I do not smoke, so the smell was really strong for me. I asked if I could be changed to a non-smoking floor and the staff very kindly helped me. I’m so grateful for this! The hotel and rooms are very clean, and the staff are super nice. The hotel feels a little bit old when you compare it to other similar-size hotels in Japan, and it’s not cheap if you compare prices! The location is good, in less than 5 minutes you get to Shizuoka Station and I was in Miho no Matsubara in a little less than an hour.

We booked for one night during the rugby world cup. Please note that Shizuoka stadium is about 50 mins from Shizuoka. Hotel about 10-15 walk from station. Room was basic but clean. It's a budget hotel (and budget price) so fine for what we needed.
