Onyado Fugetsu Muhen

A couple in their 60s stayed overnight on the second floor of a detached building. The view from the room was wonderful, and the open-air bath in the guest room was satisfying, although the water was a bit hot. I was looking forward to dinner because I had a Reservation on a superlative course, but it was superlative in this regard? That was the content. What caught my attention most was the musty smell of the rooms. I thought people with chronic respiratory problems could not stay. I enjoyed travelling on monorails and carts, but I don't think it was worth paying 80,000 yen for two on weekdays.

This was my second visit since 2020. When I arrived, the view over the Japanese pampas grass from the large open-air bath was so good last time, so I asked for a cart to move around, but they said, "Currently, the large open-air bath is not available due to water conservation." I was looking forward to dinner because it was good last time, but I wonder if the head chef has changed? I felt that the quality has dropped significantly. I couldn't finish it. The breakfast was just as I expected. I wish they had at least served the hot food as hot as possible. I couldn't finish it. I run a restaurant, so I can't help but worry about the content, taste, and temperature. Also, when I opened the refrigerator, I found that the ice maker had accumulated more frost than I've ever seen. The open-air bath in the room had also had the stones peeled off, exposing the concrete... When I was in the open-air bath, I could smell cigarettes from the next room and had to leave. It was a shame because it was a place with clean air on the mountain.

We are a big group of family. We plan to spend two nights at the hotel but we only stay for one night and throw away our money for the other night. We have four rooms altogether one big room for my parents. Two regular rooms and one room in the separate building far away from the other rooms for the kids under 13 to stay. Noone can speak english here. It’s very hard to communicate with them. Even we asked to stay near each other because we are coming as a big family, they still insist the kids must stay in that building which is awful coz it’s all food smell, the first floor of that building is restaurant the upper floor is hotel rooms. The restaurant is dark and shabby. Our dinner room in the restaurant has a spider as big as my palm and the giant ant running on the table. The food is just ok not that special. Service is poor and very slow. My parents’ suite room has rats running on the ceiling all night. It’s horrible!! My room is smelling damp and unpleasant because of a lack of fresh air. First thing I do when I got in, I have to open all the doors and windows but it doesn’t help. At the end I have go down to buy air freshener to spray in the room. It doesn’t help much. The basket in the bathroom has mold and very dirty. All the closet and refrigerator cupboard are very smelly. I can smell the even the doors are close. When I open I saw the cupboard is very dirty and has mold in some spots. The onsen in the room is not hot at all. The air conditioner is not working properly. We all did not have a good sleep. There is unfinished cleaning in my sister’s room. There are trashes beside her bed that they didn’t clean up and the cup is unwashed. I cant believe it!! So in the morning we hurried check out and moved. We reported all these problems to hotel front using phone translation. They just say sorry and still charged us for two nights!! What a nightmare and horrible experience...
