It's been a while since my last visit. This time I got a double room. There was a table and chair behind the bed, and it was easy to pass between the bed and the wall, so it felt relatively spacious. It's close to the station, so the location is good and it was convenient.

Toyoko inn is an excellent choice in Numazu and is at a walking distance from the train station. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and spacious. The room had a spectacular view of the city and it was mesmerizing to sip on tea sitting by the window in the evening while it drizzled outside. Numazu is a much better and economical choice for stay to explore the Fujisan region.

The small town of Numazu gets quiet very quickly once the sun sets, yet there are 2 Toyoko Inns within a block from the railway station. This one is straight ahead once you exit the station (the other one is to the left at the intersection). Rooms are standard - predictable and clean. There are a few local restaurants nearby, although the choice is not great and in the worst case, a McDonalds, Lawson, and Family Mart are all within walking distance. From here, it is only a half hour train ride to Gotemba, where buses will take you to the Fuji 5 lakes region. You can actually see Fuji from this town already.
