Hotel Miwa

The facilities themselves were old, and the price was reasonable, but the staff were all friendly, and I was able to stay as a normal business hotel without any problems. The only thing that bothered me was that the air conditioner vent, which was located high on the wall, was black with mold. At first, I thought it was just dirt that wouldn't come off, so I put up with it for a while, but it bothered me a little, so I climbed up on a chair to wipe it, and it was black mold that came off if I wiped it all off... It was disgusting, so I wiped it all off myself, and the surface was clean, but I could see that black mold was growing densely in the back, so I couldn't turn on the air conditioner because I have weak bronchi. If you leave the air conditioner on, I think there will be a lot of mold scattered around, even if it's not visible to the naked eye, so I would recommend cleaning the inside of the vent once. Other than that, the cleaning seemed fine, but there was a single hair on the mirror in the bathroom, which left a slightly negative impression in terms of hygiene. If it weren't for that, it would be quiet and in a good location for a place in front of the station, so I think it would be good for business use.

We stayed total of 6 nights at Hotel Miwa. The location is excellent. It is close to the train station, but quiet. We went to nearby Seven Eleven almost daily to get snacks. There are lots of place to eat. The breakfast was great too. Only issue we have is that the bathroom is very small (in Japanese room, it might be different in other type of rooms.) We shopped at Ito Yokado/Issetan Plaza few times as well. They are all pretty close. If you don't mind walking, a little further away is Uniqlo where you can find affordable fashion.Excellent stay. I'm sure we will stay here again if we had a chance. By the way, Japanese room is the only room on the 2nd floor. There is a bar there, but we never heard any noise.
