Very nice Japanese style room with a tiny bathroom, but with a large shared sento. Very close to the holy bridge of Nikko! The hotel was very quiet, and very comfortable. We didn't book the breakfast, so not sure how it looks like. But we highly recommend, notably for the very welcoming staff.

The location was excellent for easy access to the very popular major shrines and other landmarks of Nikko. Excellent service and staff friendliness but with fairly limited English (not a major obstacle). We stayed in a traditional room with futon that we set out and put away by ourselves. AMAAZZING comforters. Excellent recommendations for food and sightseeing.

This is a great base to see the bridge and historical sites in Nikko National Park. We didn't get to see all the shrines on our first day, so, we started sightseeing early the next day to avoid the crowd. Anyways, about the hotel....The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a Japanese style room with private bath. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is also a public bath in the basement. The breakfast was simple with toasts, soup mixes, eggs, salad, tea, and coffee. The hotel is well-maintained, but it is a little old and needs some renovation. Note that most of the shops and restaurants near the hotel are not open at night. We had to drive for like 10 mins for dinner.
