Maybe the waitresses were too busy that they didn’t clean the tables immediately after the guests left. I saw that several times. The cleanliness was kind of “meh” for this kinda hotel. The food was ok. I liked the tiramisu the most. The drink menu was kind of “meh” too.. Overall I have to say that the restaurant is just so so..

Decent Hotel overall. Good service, pleasant and English speaking (my Japanese is lacking!!). Clean Room, couldn't figure out how to turn the lights on or off at first!! Haha. Good luck. Big breakfast bar. I didn't eat dinner there, went out on the town for that.

We did not stay in the hotel so I cannot comment, however my son who lives in Utsunomiya took us there for a meal one evening. There was actually a thunderstorm at the time which worked out well because the restraunt which is on the 10th (I think) floor has panoramic windows and we had a ringside view of the lightening as we ate. As to the food. The restraunt is square shaped with one end open, the surface being steel and customers sit facing this with a small eating area running round the outside. Once you have ordered your meal your chef comes from the kitchen with the ingredient and cooks it in front of you, the steel surface is actually the cooking are. There is no flamboyant show just professionals doing their job. That in itself is as good as any floor show. I dined on a main course of scallops which were cooked to perfection, my wife and son went for the steak (what else , Dad was paying.) The both had their steak cooked differently, one rare, one medium rare, both say it was the best steak they had, added to it was various vegetables, rice etc, all cooked in front of you All in all it was a very good meal. Staff were attentive without being over the top. It was good value for money. The whole experience was very good, certainly I would eat there again when we return to Japan, and have no hesitation in recommending this restraunt.
