Hotel Hikyounoyu

It is a large hotel, but the surrounding nature has a secluded atmosphere. The attached hot spring facility was closed so there were no day visitors, so I was healed by the moist hot spring. The main building, annex and hot spring building are separated, but there is no inconvenience even if the weather is bad because they are connected by a passage.

・The basic dinner table for the second night was down in rank compared to the first night. The first night they served us meat and fish, and the food was as shown in the picture. Does the appetizer have a drink for the second night? The amount of fried tempura is enough to finish with three mouthfuls. The best part was that we were able to bring udon and rice together at the end. I was surprised at the combination of carbs and carbohydrates. The udon had minced fried chicken and green onions, but in that case, chopped fried chicken and green onions would have been fine for normal Akadashi. At the end of the first night, we had soba noodles. I stayed in a room that dropped in rank from the first night because there was no room available, but if the rank of the room drops, does the rank of the basic dish also drop? I thought that was about it. My family was surprised and embarrassed to see me make the reservation. I didn't feel like taking photos at all, but I wish I had taken them so that I could compare them when I posted them by word of mouth. Landlady of the inn again at mealtime? comes to greet us, but not during the first night but not during the second. Do you think consecutive guests don't have to? I feel like there are many things to ask if you enjoy your trip or if your stay is pleasant.... I was sorry for the way I handled the second night because the first night was good.

The Hikyo-no-yu is a very pleasant and very Japanese hotel and Olsen. The hotel is spacious and has a wonderful view onto the mountains. It is a bit awkward moving from building to building as it is built on a mountainside but this is not a real inconvenience. The staff is large and well-trained and there is enough English to provide assistance. The meals are well-organized and you can make requests (with sufficient notice before the meal) if you need accommodation regarding food allergies. We were in the western annex but with futons and it was quite comfortable. The wireless doesn’t make its way to the annex, by the way. The rooms are large with great views. If you just accept that you are in Japan and not in Europe you will be happy - the staff here are very welcoming and accommodating.
