The location is ideal, in a quiet area but with all shops nearby as well as several metro lines within a few minutes on foot. The room is welcoming (70s style) and large (for Japan) and there are plenty of free toiletries available on the reception floor. Pajamas made from incredibly comfortable fabric are waiting for you in a bedroom drawer. The heating is a little pleasant because it works in a blower by the air conditioning unit but this seems to be the norm in Japan. Check-out/arrival times are generous, unlike many Japanese hotels. Staff available and friendly.

A very convenient location with family marts and restaurants near the hotel. 5mins’ walk to Suitengumae station. Friendly and helpful stuff who speak good English. Rooms and furniture a little old but everything works and was functional. We booked the Twin Room and Double bed with an extra bed room. The double bed is about 1.5x of the size of a single bed.

We had a great week at City Pension Zem during our visit to Tokyo. This hotel is tidy and comfortable, and it’s close everything! Just a short walk away from 2 stations that can get you just about anywhere (Ningyocho and Suitenguame) and a short walk from several 7/11’s and a few good restaurants. We will for sure stay here again if we visit Tokyo in the future. Thank you!
