APA Hotel Resort Tokyo Bay Shiomi

Our stay at APA Hotel & Resort Tokyo Bay Shiomi was absolutely appalling. We booked and paid for two rooms, and both had a horrible mould smell coming from the air conditioning. The towels, blankets and pillows also smelled strongly of mould. These were completely unacceptable conditions, especially for a family travelling with children. We checked in at approximately 9:00 p.m. and reported the issue around 9:30 p.m. Reception staff member Asami personally entered the rooms, smelled the mould, confirmed the problem and took photographs. Manager Hama was also involved. Despite this, the hotel later claimed that it could not confirm the severity of the issue. The hotel was fully booked and could not provide suitable replacement rooms. An air purifier did nothing to remove the mould smell. Incredibly, we were offered curry powder as “compensation.” This felt insulting and like the hotel was making a joke out of a serious hygiene complaint. Even worse, we were told that if we were unhappy, we could leave and find another hotel—in the middle of the night, with our children. This was a shocking and shameful way to treat paying guests. We were forced to sleep together in one room because we did not want our children sleeping in the other mould-smelling room. Although we paid for two rooms, the hotel refused to refund the room we could not reasonably use. The most disgraceful part is that, after staff personally inspected the rooms and provided an air purifier, the hotel denied the seriousness of the problem and rejected responsibility. This was one of the worst and most humiliating hotel experiences our family has ever had. The lack of hygiene, concern and accountability was astonishing. In my experience, this hotel put protecting its money ahead of treating guests fairly. I strongly warn other travellers—especially families with children—to think very carefully before booking APA Hotel & Resort Tokyo Bay Shiomi.

I chose this one, because it is 2 stations of disney, for couple ok, for 3 adults, it is tight (even), no smell of cigarettes, well equipped bathroom.

Very nice hotel in Koto, very modern, rooms are not too big but comfortable, functional bathroom, nice swimming pool, very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, the breakfast buffet is great, very big and varied and tasty choice
