Me and 2 brothers have booked for 1 week on April 2020. It was quiet and kinda empty due to pandemic, but all the experience was fantastic. The price was cheap and well-located. Not every staffs can speak english but gladly we had someone who speak/know japanese a little. There are free coffee and hot/cold water and cocoa powder too if you want. Unfortunately, I think tea wasn't available there. About the rooms, we took the tatami room and it was a little crowded for 3 people, but we could manage it somehow. The bathroom is small and not so comfortable for taller people like me, but nothing that could makes the experience bad. There's air conditioner and towels are available and changed everyday. The staff didn't told us when we arrived about the cleaning time (everyday at 12am) and we got scared when the staff knocked the door out of nowhere, asking us if we want him to clean the bedroom. Anyway, we totally recommend this place!

I booked this hotel as I was traveling alone for the Tokyo Marathon. Its a quiet hotel affordable with good wifi and clean. Yes it's small but for just me that's all I needed. From a location point of view it is great as its about a 5 minute walk from Ikabukuro train station. I had a Japanese style room but was given the choice. The staff speak good English which for a luddite like me is important. The only random thing I did have was a massive key ring for the key to the room. I was expecting a key card but that's just me being petty. Good friendly hotel

* I booked the japan style room, which a small room with attached small bathroom. * the staff very friendly and easy to check in and check out * location very good, near to train station. there is 7-11 close to the hotel. easy to find food surrounding the hotel area. Must try ramen at Ikebukuro area, very thick soup type of ramen. * there is laundry coin on the basement of the hotel
