The prices are unbelievable in modern Tokyo, where inbound tourists are rushing to the area and accommodation prices are rising. In the first place, I bow to the management policy of keeping prices the same while all prices are rising. It should be celebrated more. What's more, it's clean and well-equipped, and I can't think of a better cospa. Every private room has a private locker about half a tatami mat long, and there is even an electrical outlet inside. Clothes and other items are now being hung on them, which is perhaps the best for travelers with a lot of luggage. The private rooms are also clean, pillows and mats are considered, there are two electrical outlets at the pillows and small shelves. Shower and toilet are communal, but there's no complaints with a bidet. The showers are also highly water pressured and the temperature can be set freely, making them comfortable. There is also a free space on the third floor, which is great for eating and chatting. Naturally, free high-speed wireless LAN is installed on every floor. Last but not least, I was impressed by the staff who smiled and handled the difficult work of front desk and cleaning. The Japanese and foreign clientele is about 50/50, but of course there are few chances to stay full day after day, making it a very rare hotel. If you get the chance to stay in Tokyo, I would check it often and use it again. P.S.: About a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Station and a 5-minute walk from Hibiya Line Iriya Station. Toei buses run from Ueno and Nippori to the bus stop in front of the hotel. Convenience stores and supermarkets are also nearby.

Very dirty!! I found food of a previous guest in the bed. Matress was thin as a blanket. Not good located, far from all the touristic places. The staff of the hostel didnt speak nor understand english and werent helpuful at all. Due of a cancelled flight we asked to leave our bags until night and they wanted to charge a absurd amount of money. Save your money and go to another place!

For the second part of my stay in Japan, I decided to transfer to Taito City from Chiyoda City. 1 Night 1980 Hostel was very affordable - I paid only less than 2K JPY per day. It was less than 10minutes away by foot from Iriya station which proved to be a bonus. Going to Narita 2 for my flight back to the Philippines, I just had to take the train from Iriya station to Ueno for the train going straight to Narita 2 which took around 80 minutes. This capsule hotel was not as new as the one where I stayed in Chiyoda City but being an "older" capsule hotel, it has one big plus - it offers individual lockers as big as cabinets where I could put in both of my baggages, as well as hang my clothing. Don't expect free toiletries though such as shampoo and soap.
