Capsule Hotel and Sauna Ikebukuro Plaza

This is an artificial one using lime flowers from Futamata Radium Hot Spring in Oshamambe, Hokkaido, so I have been doing it for the purpose of artificial hot springs only, not saunas at all. The sauna and spa are located on the basement floor. I was concerned about the dampness because it is underground, but the dressing room is dry and there is no discomfort at all. It is a wonderful environment where sweat quickly subsides. Hot water is poured vigorously through a device filled with finely crushed lime flowers. Seeing this makes me feel like I'm in Futamata Radium Onsen. Since everyone is mainly in the sauna, the artificial hot spring bath was not crowded. There is also an unusual bedrock bath. It's not hot enough to sweat that much. I fell asleep for about 30 minutes because I felt so comfortable with the water beside me. I tried the artificial hot spring → bedrock bath → artificial hot spring cycle, and my body became lazy and refreshed. This sounds addictive. It is reasonable to be able to enjoy this much in a three-hour 1,800 yen course. Upstairs you can rest, nap and eat. If you stay for half or a day, you will be able to feel like a hot spring at Futamata Radium Hot Spring.

quite expensive for a very basic hotel! I paid 2990 yen to stay in a small pod that the fan didn't work in and my feet stuck out of (I'm only 5.8ft), charged 550 yen for being 10 minutes late on a 10 o'clock check out which is an hour earlier than majority of hostels I've stayed at then charged an additional 500 yen to store my bag for the day! Then told to leave when I sat in the reception area to book a flight!

Good location, I always recommend people try to stay In Ikebukuro due to all the things you can see and do plus the train station gets you almost anywhere you want in Tokyo. This is my only capsule hotel experience 1, very clean 2, no wifi 3, you get a locker to put all your things (I only had a backpack so that was alright) 4, no curfew 5, the capsules were bigger than I expected, I'm 5'10" but if I was any taller I wouldn't be able to stretch out 6, no showers, you have to use the big hot bath with other guys 7, I'd have no problem staying there again
