This is easily the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Tokyo. The room smells of mold the moment you walk in, and the entire hotel feels like it has been frozen in time since the early 1980s. The furniture, carpets, wallpaper, lighting, and decor are all incredibly outdated. Instead of feeling like a hotel in Tokyo, it feels more like an old roadside motel somewhere in middle America. Cleanliness is another major issue. The decorative cushions on the bed were stained, and the room generally felt dirty and poorly maintained. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I did expect a clean, reasonably modern hotel. This delivered neither. There are countless better options in Tokyo for the same price or less. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

I checked into the Tokyo Prince Hotel and attended a jazz concert with my partner nearby. We reserved a two twin bed room, because it was the only one available. When returning that night I slept in the one bed with my partner. However, I did use one pillow from the other bed. The next morning I looked over to find what appeared to be body fluid on the remaining pillow. This is something nightmares are made of. I think divine intervention led me to not sleep in the second bed. It left me to believe that the bed sheets had not been changed from the previous customer stay. I just hope no one else has to experience something like this. Impossible to ever stay again. .

It’s a decent location - reception looks great but then you get to your room and wow .. it looks like they haven’t refurbed them in 50 years. Small, grubby and even a bit dirty (for Japan this shocked us) .. pool closed .. out door bar was empty at sunset but they wouldn’t allow us to pay to use the sofas outside as you need to book three days in advance so they stayed empty and we went and spent 100,000 yen instead at the Tokyo tower sky bar. All very very odd - thank God it was only one night.
