It was a bit inconvenient to get from the airport by public transportation, and in my case, I had to pick up a return express ticket at Shirahama Station, which I had booked and settled in advance. From Nambu Station, it is 2,000 yen by taxi with JCB sticker but cannot pay by card. Check-in is surprisingly smooth thanks to the guidance to line up only representatives in front of the front desk. The lounge is crowded and the coffee tastes light and there is no cup lid, so it is inconvenient to take it home to drink. The room is spacious and Japanese-style, but the vibrations and sounds unique to the rebar resonate well, and it is difficult to get a good night's sleep considering the large number of customers with infants running around. The hot spring lounge I was expecting is a beautiful and spacious space for hot springs, but in the evening you can just drink plum juice in a chocolate-sized paper cup. By the way, the baths and changing rooms are spacious. The tub was also large and had a considerable capacity. It was just that there were full-body tattoos in the sauna and the washroom, like a Drif skit. The restaurant is a tekkaba (tekkaba) and it is crowded with families, foreigners, and groups who have unlimited beer. The number of dishes and taste are not bad, but the atmosphere is not very slow. However, the staff are generally pleasant and kind, so if there is an off-season, I'd like to come back.

I visited last year and revisited it because it was an all-inclusive, wonderfully serviced hotel. But in every sense, it was unfortunate to say that the level of service had dropped, or rather, to that of a business hotel. We ran out of champagne, wine and beer in the lounge from 3pm. At dinner, alcohol was still there, but the variety of dishes that mattered was drastically reduced: roast beef, salmon, cheese, offal shrimp gratin, shumai, hamburgers, monaka sushi, fried chicken, meatballs, dessert petit cake, Mont Blanc, etc., were gone, and beef shabs were changed from Kumano beef to anonymous beef, and it was no longer a pleasant dinner. Breakfast, too, was on the level of a business hotel. The pancakes were no longer handmade but commercially available, and the herbal wieners were gone, which was very disappointing. Will it ever be the same again? I think it's a situation where prices are rising, but I think it's getting to the point where if service has declined too openly, you have to question the hotel's management policies. Are Mercures, across the country, experiencing poor service as well? As a Mercure fan, I'm sorry.

I was going not to expect so much because it is this price even though it is all inclusive, but the room is large, the bath is good, there is a sauna and the open-air bath was comfortable And there's a lot of food to choose from. The lounge's got a good vibe. Above all, the hotel staff are very pleasant I was so comfortable that I was allowed to stay an extra night. They responded to sudden requests in the best way possible. I will definitely go again. I'm impressed that you can offer this at that price. We also recommend it to friends and relatives.
