Kyukamura Nanki-Katsuura

It seems a bit old, but it's renewed and it doesn't feel old. It stands right in front of the sea, but because it's on a mountain, there's no need to worry about tsunamis or storm surges. The bath is located on a slope facing the sea, so the view is good. The bath in October was lukewarm.

The view from the room was lovely with ocean view and the open-air bath (white hot water ♨️) felt good. Too bad it was cloudy.

Just in front of the sea. Hotel located on high ground. The rooms are clean and the baths are clean and satisfying. But the water temperature was a bit low, which was a problem (visited in October: I found the temperature low on the website). Besides the indoor bath, there were two other baths that looked like ceramic Goemon baths. The open-air bath feels good. The starry sky from the rooftop is amazing. I see a lot of stars. (But that's the floor with the lobby.) It's far from the nearest station and you can't get there without a transfer. If you have a car, Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine, Kumano Hayatama Taisha Shrine and Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine are also easily accessible. Stopping at Qiaohang Rock to reach Shiono Misaki, the southernmost point on Honshu Island, is also a half-day course.
