I am truly surprised at the great reviews - there is no Japanese service and loving touch at this ryokan - it’s cold hearted staff are more concerned about making sure you ar following rules instead of bringing the ryokan experience to you - I felt like we are in prison following a strict schedule and at the mercy of the staff And wait the rooms are ridiculous- the onsen is a marble bath - no nature no beauty I won’t recommend this ryokan to anyone

Seems some previous reviewers completely missed the point of this place. After 4 hectic days in the bustle and crowds of Tokyo, this is all about quiet solitude' oh and yes you can't see Mt Fuji from your room so get prepared for that and book a tour ! The rooms are modern, well appointed and extremely comfortable. The Onsen pool is small( but well heated) is private and a great way to wake up. The staff are friendly and the policy of escorting you from your room for meals is designed for privacy - we didn't want to be interacting with lots if other guests on this part of our trip. Dinner was high class Japanese cuisine- beautifully presented and with immaculate service - worth every penny. If this food is not for you there are many varied types of restaurants nearby and the hotel provides a map with the options. We are off now for a day of sightseeing with a guide and look forward to returning tonight for another dining experience.

The worst place ever stayed in my lifetime . This so called ryokan is a scam and Managment is cheat . They charged usd 1600 per Night and it’s not worth even usd 200. They book without dinner option and refuse to provide dinner even if we wish to pay . No facilities . Most useless property . We stayed at other ryokans but this one is a scam and most useless property to stay
