Mid-range hotel on the banks of the Mekong. Extremely friendly staff and a very on named stay in nice rooms that are spic and span. Rich breakfast buffet, of course Asian and also continental. Recommended, definitely!

I stayed here for one night on a 30-day self-driving road trip that included both far northern and southern Laos, to Vat Phou. The vehicle, a four-wheel drive Ford pickup truck was hired from and returned to Luang Prabang. This is a true three-star hotel that operates like a full-service five-star property. At a walk-in rate of 630,000 LAK this falls into the high range of my normal budget. However, the other nearby properties were unappealing or more expensive. If you want to save some cash, move away from the riverside. Otherwise, this is a very good, professionally run hotel. The room and bathroom were both clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The refrigerator, air conditioning, hot water, and wi-fi worked well. The bedding, towels, etc. were good. Breakfast was also included in a full-service restaurant that is also open for lunch and dinner. There is ample parking for folks who self-drive. I would have stayed here on my way back north through Thakhek but I chose another less expensive property that I will also review.

Looking from the outside, the hotel needs a good renovation. Inside, the welcome is very pleasant and the staff are very helpful. The hotel is very clean with spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the Mekong. In the room, the socket is broken and it is impossible to charge cell phones which end up in the bathroom, the only socket working. Breakfast is exclusively local, that is to say savory with local dishes. For something sweet, slices of white bread + butter and jam. There are a few pieces of fruit left.
