Villa Senesouk

Good accommodation, close to tourist attractions, delicious food, good service staff. In front of the hotel there is a sticky rice offering to monks. The hotel staff is responsible for providing it. Comfortable place to sleep The bathroom has soap but lacks shampoo, but that's okay, you can buy it. There are scattered shops in Luang Prabang.

This hotel was clean, a little dated but comfortable. No tea and coffee in rooms, but a fridge. Great balcony, to get perfect view of alms in the morning. Staff very unfriendly and unhelpful. Noone offered to help with bags when we arrived, which is fine but the only place whilst travelling in south East Asia this has happened! Staff would not acknowledge you, or smile and say hello. In evening when we returned at about 11.30 pm, hotelmain door open and room key just left on counter. Staff asleep on hammocks and didn't stir, felt anyone could have got key and gone to room. Breakfast not included.

I have given this place great reviews in the past. I stayed here many times!The staff has totally changed from welcoming to nasty and argumentative. I would never recommend it any more. Reserved two weeks..left without spending the night. I met several other people who said the same! One guesthouse owner said 30 room nights had come from people who LEFT Villa Senesouk.. in that MONTH! Luang Prabang has so many wonderful welcoming people..this was a total shock!
