Villa Somphong

Super clean rooms and a good size overlooking the Nam Khan river (the other side is the Mekong river) and it is very quiet here. The service was excellent and the staff and owner are super helpful and prepare a lovely breakfast with very good coffee!

I just stayed for three nights at this pleasant hotel on the riverside. It has two buildings all facing the river. Just a short walk up a narrow alleyway takes you up to a small pagoda and then into Sisavangvong Road where most of the tourist restaurants and colonial style buildings are and also where the night market springs up around the Royal Palace. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place is clean. Good WiFi, cable TV and a decent breakfast.

Good rooms which are a decent size and very clean. We didn't want for anything while we were here, the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We also had to book various transports while we were in Luang Prabang and the hotel were incredibly helpful with handling all of that. The location is also excellent, near to some great parts of the city and walking distance from everywhere. We also enjoyed the breakfasts and they even went above and beyond by making us breakfast a little before the normal time on the day we left (as we were leaving so early). I would recommend this place.
