Sokdee Residence

Vastly underappreciated excellent facility with management of top quality and on the ball. Breakfast excellent and for nominal sum, as is massage in room, transportation on demand. Very friendly owners and they are trying to make this one highly memorable place in LP. I would definitely stay again! Clean, quiet, noiseless, with fixtures, hot water, toilets that work extremely well. They assume nothing and work hard to make guests feel this is an oasis! Excellent laundry and clothing repair available and quality of work excellent and for mere pence. This was certainly not my first time in LP. I was very very pleased. They treat you like client with whom they want long term relationship, not customer X.

This is a family run hotel and they really go out of their way to make it a good experience. The entire staff/family work very hard which explains why this place may be hard to book. The only negative I could find was that the pillows were overstuffed which wasn't good for my neck. The free breakfast was plentiful but not to my liking so I went to a coffee shop most mornings. This is not to say that the food wasn't of good quality, just my personal preference.

Back in 2022, it was my first time staying in Sokee Residence. Two years later, 2024. I came back to Luang Prabang again and Sokdee Residence is still the best choice because of the following reasons: I highly recommend visitors visiting Luang Prabang stay with Sok Dee Residence. To start off, the owner, Mr. Soulinda, is friendly, kind, and very helpful. He makes sure the guests staying there are well taken care of. Sok Dee also provides various breakfasts every day. During my stay with them, they offered breakfast from buffet, noodle soup to continental breakfast. The icing on the cake is the coffee they provide along with the breakfast, which is good quality with a proper coffee machine, not those 3-in-1 types. Besides that, the location is ideal. It is very close to Sisavangvong Road, probably just 2 minutes of walking. And 8 minutes of walking to Wat Xieng Thong. Generally speaking, it is a very good place to stay and good value for the money. I will definitely stay with them next time when I visit Luang Prabang again.
