Great stay in the heart of Luang Prabang, everything is within walking distance. The staff is very attentive and full of good advice for visiting the area. The rooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable. We loved it and recommend this charming hotel!

Great location within easy walking distance of town centre. The staff are friendly and efficient and Mr. Loum was always on hand to solve any problems. My room was big with river view and a small balcony where I sat and watched the world go by. Clean and good value for money, the Baan Samsa is an excellent choice of hotel in Luang Prabang.

This was our second visit to Baan Samsa (previously The Apsara ) and you can tell by the repeat visit how much we liked it. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious and just the right amount and they were flexible with how the main course was prepared. The location is wonderful - in the historic area looking out on the smaller river, very peaceful and an easy walk to the main part of town. Room very comfortable and the whole hotel has a sort of colonial vibe which adds to its atmosphere. The staff can help with transport, advice on what to see and do and where to go so you will have nothing to worry about. Luang Prabang is the most chill and peaceful place I have been to and as I live in Bangkok, a great escape from the noise and bustle of the big city. To add to the casual atmosphere, the cafes scattered liberally around the town are excellent.
