Vang Thong

This hotel was a change from other countries. It is somewhat dated but must have been quite rich in its days. However given that the country is not as developed as other Asian countries, it was still nice enough. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Bathroom was very much in need of upgrade but for three nights, it was alright. Breakfast was not as elaborate as larger hotel but was definitely acceptable. People went out of their way to accommodate with our needs. English language is limited but available.

We were on a tour so things were pre-planned for us. Considering the area the hotel was ok but not up to the standard of hotels in other countries. The staff tried hard to accommodate our group. The pool was a welcome relief after a day of touring.

This hotel location was about 2km away from the town and you will need to take a tuk tuk to get to the town. It cost u 10,000 kips per person. Hotel provide shuttle service to the night market at 6 pm and pick up at 9 pm daily.
