good accommodation after the long travelling journey. actually this is a lovely beautiful town (similar as the oasis in the middle of desert) with cool temperature, highly recommend to visit this place during freezing cold winter season (around end of the year), sometime this lovely town was considered as "Switzerland of Laos country", there might be some appropriate reason.

Very Spartan well-run Hotel I have been here for several days trying to kick a cold and the hospitality is overwhelming The Madam of the house is on it Spartan clean rooms price is more than fair centrally located by the River Market within walking distance of everything in town the airport is accessible via Colectivo / Mini there is also a restaurant with nicely prepared food nothing special but good clean grub

Arriving during the middle of Hmong New Year doesn't isn't really the best time to find budget options (budget in my mind being 100,000 kip or less), or any places w/ any availability at all, so was happy to have gotten a room here. It was 200,000 kip, but the room was huge, had a mini living room area w/ a couch and bay windows (those seen from the main photo on TA), a double bed, a working TV, a fridge, air-con (though it wasn't necessary in November), an ensuite bathroom w/ hot water and a bathtub (enjoyed the first bath in three months of traveling around SE Asia and it was pretty glorious), and it was clean and serviced every day. A bit out of the main touristy area (about a ten minute walk), but it was quiet, which was nice. Wi-fi wasn't that great in the room, but not a big deal at all. Can go a few days w/o getting online :)
