Amidst the current COVID-situation the first hotel was closed despite nothing explaining the contrary - thus we called the former Day's now RIJA VEF- they could not solve the problem, nor was their English up to par or their ability to handle a question. Then, I recalled having seen Tomo driving past over the years - and they won my heart - the price range, able to take payment in cash, fair room quality , proximity to where my client-friend need be next day, decent breakfast deal and frankly the prices for both were a killing. Add then how the lady receptionist handled it and the room with a perfect bathroom and WC - clean and inviting- I even told my friend: ''Here you can shower all night, should you like'' and after his 15-hour-bus ordeal, that is at least what i would do! Thus, now I know we have a very good solution, handy for the next time - and in fact, I have even organised so yet another guest will be there tomorrow evening!@:) THANK You to the lady receptionist - so kind and helpful!:)

Good points:
Clean room
Air conditioning
Free parking
Gluten free bread provided at breakfast.
Breakfast was ok, apart from the lack of fruit juice.
Bad points:
Heated towel rail in the bathroom could not be turned off. it was 30*celsius.
No plug in wash basin. easily resolved with an upside down glass, but this shows a lack of care and maintanance at the hotel.
2 wrecked cars in the car park which had been broken in to and had flat tyres etc.
The receptionist (Tatiana) tried to charge us 10 euros for bus parking, when she found out that we where towing a trailer and therefore was taking up 2 parking spaces.
I said there is no way i am paying you 10 euros to park I am not in a bus and all your bus spaces are full/ reserved/ I got my phone out and said i was going to ring booking.com to complain and sudenly the charge was dropped.
I think this was darn rude and cheeky as we are nothing like a bus.
During the night the air conditioning started to make an awful grinding/ whiring noise it sounds broken.
Breakfast was ok juice was cordial/squash and not real fruit juice, there was no orange juice.

Our fist night we arrived in the afternoon, we were greeted without any smiles and the first receptionist - an older lady with short brown hair and glasses talked REALLY low and fast. Had to ask twice of what she was saying to us. The other young, blond girl showed no interest in our requests later that night - The AC was broken when we came to the room, and I went down for help, she just stared and said "wait tomorrow". IT WAS BOILING HOT when we slept that night. Didn't even get a new room.. It got fixed the second day in the afternoon, after i went to girl 1 while nr 2 was beside her and told the same about AC. Girl 2 didn't report the incident... Third day, last thankfully, we went out early and put out "please clean room", came back and it wasn't.. No surprise. No fresh towels, no toilet paper. So we had to wait 10 mins with the receptionist to get help. 99% of the employees don't speak English, or care about the visitors. Don't go here, they are racist and very rude.. Its maybe cheaper than other hotels, but it's not worth it. Me and my boyfriend don't recommend this place at all.
