Goodhope Skudai

1. Customer service: I give them a 5 star. They were humble and met to all over requests no doubt. They assisted us for a late check out and everything. We are thankful till today. 2. Parking lot: I wish the parking lot had more convenience. Maybe a lift. Cause those with luggages would definitely struggle with the staircase. 3 star to that. 3. The restaurant: I give them a 3 star. Breakfast was average. There was not much choices available. And i went down for lunch trying to avoid going out to eat, but when i was seated in the restaurant, solid 15 mints no one attended to me. Thus, i proceeded to the Chinese Shop at the opposite side of the hotel. 4. The room: I give the rooms a 3 star. That's because the carpets were slightly dusty, the long mirror was located at a very cramped area, the bed was hollow, bathroom cleaning could have been better. 5. Swimming pool was totally rundown. No comments. Of course its better than many other hotels in Skudai, but i'm sure there's lots of room for improvement.

Room 516. Location : The hotel is located just minutes away from Skudai main road. Finding it was a breeze and the area was okay. There are some eateries around, countless bengkel kereta and a 7eleven within walking distance. I can say it is located at the heart of Skudai small township. Reception : Despite the low price and bleak outlook, the lobby is surprisingly shining and well maintained. The check in process was smooth and the staffs on duty was so kind. Room : My room is facing the dead Skudai Mall. It was really scary to look out at night. Lol. Size wise, was okay. Bathroom was nice. Hot water runs perfect. TV works well. Fridge works well. The AC is not so cold but it keeps the room okay. However the wall is paper thin. I can hear car sounds from the nearby road very well. Breakfast : The selection is simple and nice. The nasi goreng was tasty. The salad was nice, but the thousand island feels spicy. The beehoon taste good as well. The fruits selection is ample but the juice is a bit too sweet. The waiters during breakfast are very attentive. For such a hotel, I would say that the breakfast was just nice and enough. Facility : The parking lot is handy but a little bit dark. Alas, still free for in house guest. The elevator looks old but fresh. The pool is facing the dead mall. But it is okay. I had just little bit of concern with the water quality. During my stay, it was quite yellowish. Satisfaction : 90%.

It was a very nice stay here, the hospitality is a top tier despite its affordable price. The location is quite near to UTM Skudai. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The food is also delicious. Will definitely stay here again next time!
