Century Rest Inn

We had just booked this hotel about a month ago for 25th march 2019 to 29th march 2019 and on arrival in Langkawi on 25th to this hotel, we found that this hotel is not operational and is under renovatio since last two to three months. We had already paid for this booking before reaching there. We were left stranded as it was a busy season and difficult to find accommodation for me and my family! We had to change three places in four days and to pay a lot against what we had already paid for Century Rest Inn. I would suggest please check it out before booking this hotel. Have photos of this place under renovation. The actual building on the website is green which is now changed but a part on right side is still green. Two workers on the site said that this place will still be under renovation for next couple of months.

I love where this hotel is situated in the middle of Kuah town, where most of the shops (restaurants including Pizza Hut, mart, etc) just few meters away from the hotel (walking distance). It is also just few minutes driving to jetty, malls (haji ismail group mall, billion, etc), ATM & gas station where i find it very convenient. In terms of the condition of the room, they gave me the family room which consist of 2 queen beds. The room was small and packed with our luggage. The aircond was not so cold the moment we switched it on but it's getting colder after that. The room has musty smell the moment we enter the room but it's not that bad. The hotel have no lift. Lucky us we got the first floor during our stay. At first they gave us at 2nd floor but considering my mother in law's condition, they changed our room at the first floor. The staff at the lobby were easy to dealt with. Oh btw, forgot to mention. We stayed here with a package of RM99 which inclusive of Car Rental (we got our self a Toyota Avanza as there were 8 of us) & island hopping to Pulau Beras Basah, Eagle Feeding (not really feeding the eagle actually) & Dayang Bunting Marble. But for my future plan to Langkawi, i won't take the island hopping package anymore. There's nothing much to explore during the trip & also please avoid the snorkeling package coz nothing much you can expect when you snorkel. To get the cheapest gamat oil or any gamat product in Langkawi, i would suggest Kedai Makcik Timah behind Makam Mahsuri. You can ask anyone there which one is Makcik Timah. Definitely she will give you a very good deal when you buy her products.

The dirtiest hotel I've ever seen: Long hairs in pillows and blankets of both beds, dust everything, even a bottle below the bed. Furthermore the rooms are the smallest ever met (without closets because of lack of space for them), without windows, without space for luggages (you couldn't even walk when luggages were on the floor)... Very bad.
