Hotel Teratak Sireh Lagenda

I knew this place looked a bit quirky when I booked it - but there were three things it promised from the write-ups ... airport pick up and drop off, WiFi, and cleanliness. We did not get airport pick up - and despite having emailed to organise this and request response prior to landing, I got absolutely no communication from them. So we were left to taxi there and be told they don't do pick ups! WiFi is rubbish - slow if it works at all and they turn it off when it suits them! The accomodation as i knew it would be - was quirky but it certainly did not feel clean. We were eaten alive by mosquitos through the night and the building is flimsy ... the people in the units either side of us may as well have been in our room - it was that noisy and flimsy! The service - well there wasn't any to speak of. Clearly they don't get many westerners staying there - it was one of the cheaper places to stay but comparable to staying elsewhere we have in Malaysia at much better service and bang for our buck. Very unimpressed - to the degree that we are staying elsewhere instead of going back for a night on our return trip through. Where I anticipated having a more local experience ... I was bitterly disappointed with what were rude owners with no communication and very poor service and delivery! A shame as I like to immerse myself in where I am ... I strongly suggest they update their online profile to be honest about their products and services.
