Corona Inn

Not a fancy place but it provides the basic comforts of a hotel, with a modest selection for breakfast. It is located smack in the center of Kuala Lumpur's central hub. Shopping malls and China Town are walking distance from the hotel. For foodies, it's a stone's throw away from the famous Jalan Alor - which is turned into a "food street" every evening, where restaurants in the area extend seating on the road and stalls line both sides of the street to offer a great selection of local food and drinks.

My family-which includes my sister & my husband came here to stay in a triple room which consist of a double bed and a single bed. When we arrived, ae are happily greeted by the humble doorman and the receptionist staff were very polite and spoke in good english and explained on the Wifi password. They only provided us with one card and do not give an extra card, mentioning that if you are outside stuck,? "Our guys will be in the floor to open the door for you". Felt uncomfortable but still agreed and went to my room. When we entered our room, the room looked clean with the basic of a hairdryer, coffee/tea , mirror and sofa. It looked quite satifying till we headed to sleep and opened up our bedsheets to tug in. We observed there were too many stains on the bedsheets & wen we headed to shower,the pipe was broken and they do not provide toothbrushes and toothpaste which was a hassle for us as we had to go purchase it. So the following day,we requested them to change our bedsheets immediately and informed them on the broken pipe. We clearly mentioned we wanted a clean bedsheet and the frlnt stafd achknowledged. We went to have a buffet breakfest spread, the food was okay but definately need abit of improvement as the top ups were not done even though it was empty and the time was not up. So when we arrived back in the night, we got ready to tug in. I was quite shocked to find small black ants and if im not wrong its a bed bug on my bedsheet. I killed it and since i was super exhausted, wanted to inform the next day since it was only one i saw. But the entire night, both my partner and me were scratching and had a dreadful sleep. Yes it was a 3 star rating hotel but the least we expected was cleaniness to have a good sleep but this really disappointed mw to the extreme. Though the hotel is abit runned down, and the aircon is not cold,we managed but finding ants and bedbugs on bed, shows how housekeeping cleans the bedsheets and check the beds

I stayed here with some in-laws in november 2019 after a bad experience at a nearby hotel. We found it as we walked around looking for an escape from the original hotel. We stayed in an inside room to save money. My wife and I found it to be clean and comfortable and well maintained. Several staff spoke good english while others were challenged by it, but all were attentive and helpful, and usually a doorman greeted us as we arrived or left. It has an elevator to reach upper floors. A breakfast is available in house and was quite good, though not outstanding. The location is on the edge of a seedy area but staff were always present facing the front doors so we felt safe enough. A block away is a street food night market with many good options. Four blocks away is a metro station and a bus station. We found the location was quiet at night and slept well. Parking is available adjacent to the hotel and I believe there is a discount for hotel guests. We definitely recommend this hotel as we found it room rate very reasonable and delivered an excellent value.
