I don't recommend this hotel. The staff has a bad attitude and no patience. The toilet design is also problematic, as is the flooring. The soundproofing is poor, and guests are disturbed late at night. Toilet: 1) There is only one door for both the shower room and the toilet area, which is an embarrassing design. 2) The floor threshold is high, making it easy to trip. Water from the bathtub flows directly into the room without anything to stop it. 3) The design of having no toilet door and only a curtain is also annoying and lacks privacy.

We originally booked a classic king room and asked ahead of time for one with a window if possible. When we arrived late at night we were shown to the room and it was very cramped with no window. We paid £90 on booking.com for three nights. Feeling claustrophobic, we asked the next day if we could change to a room with a window as we had requested.. we asked to see what was available and they did show us round two other rooms. Unfortunately this meant an upgrade and we were asked to pay an additional £115 for two nights. We felt a little taken advantage of, not really given a choice BUT to pay whatever they said. We should have left really. So my advice would be to not book a Classic King if you need space or a window. There was at least one other person at reception also wanting to swap rooms for the same reason. The reason I've given 3 stars is their lack of understanding about why we wanted to move and them not trying to accommodate our request in advance. The whole experience could have been much smoother and much friendlier. However we had just come from Cambodia where they cannot ever do enough to accommodate your needs in every way.

Staff service was great and rooms where comfortable but we ran into a few issues during our stay Door lock battery died a few times during our stay leaving the door open but staff came to fix it quickly. Next our hot water, for the first week was no issue but the last couple of days ran out. The location is perfect, great stay and any issues were resolved.
