Kulai City Inn Hotel

Very dark indoor, no breakfast as no in house restaurant. No facial tissue provided, but plastic smelled shower gel and hair shampoo, and toothbrush and toothpaste provided. Noisy doors banging as the other customers had no consideration of other travelers. Facing main road and no restaurant along the road unless you cross the main road to go to Loring Kita area. Do not recommend to travelers that have no cars.

Stayed there whilst on a short road trip from JB to Malacca. Overall it was a pretty OK hotel, but some elements will make me think twice about returning to stay again. 1) The size of the room was really generous, but not efficiently used and therefore mostly a waste. There was a lack of table-tops to place loose items such as keys, wallets, coins, etc. Useful for when putting on shoes and getting ready to head out. 2) The doors closed with little dampening, and if other rooms nearby are checking out early in the morning, be prepared to be rudely awoken by the sounds of slamming doors. 3) The provided chair for the desk/dressing table was broken. Luckily I noticed before sitting down, else could have sustained a possibly serious injury.

Spending one night here after touched down at the Senai Airport to catch my KTM train the next day. A hotel within a supposedly shopping mall, but the mall is very rundown with just a few shops, supermarket and furniture shop. But thankfully the hotel still presentable and neat. Although I won’t say it is clean enough. Very simple room with all the necessary amenities. Bed is comfortably, but the aircon noise was a bit unbearable for me during sleep. And it is much warmer and takes long time to cold the room. Also there’s someone smoking in the room, transmitting all the tobacco smell into my room through the ventilation. Informed the front desk and they managed to find me an air refresher to clear the tabacco smell in my room. There’s water dispenser at the lobby as well.
