Overall great stay. The rooms are a little dated but the bed is superbly comfortable. Bathrooms are well equipped and professionally clean. When we were there, the bigger pool was being cleaned and was closed for a day.. but to be honest, we hardly missed that because the smaller pool is where the bar is and the kids enjoyed their drinks and snacks by the pool. The property itself is stunning! Lovely long stretch of beach. The staff are impressively attentive and really well-spoken (in English). We were all really impressed by how polite, attentive and professional they were. Well done, Hyatt!! Overall, it was a great stay. I’d come back for the lovely stretch of beach and the sea-facing room.

Having stayed here several times, their service is very consistent: kind, warm, and friendly at all touch points. Malaysian hospitality at its finest. The lobby opens to an unobstructed view of their pristine private beach and the wide expanse of the ocean. The whole property and the room are spotless. The room with balcony that opens to a splendid sea view is recommended.

In Bukit Bintang, I could have a proper wild mushroom soup for RM 38, with truffle oil. Instead, the soup you served me at Kampung was patches of mushroom powder flakes. Angus steak was a bit dry even though I ordered medium rare, Salmon fillet was nothing special. I initially wanted to dine in Bistro but was told a VVIP had a private event there, but given my experience at Kampung, I’m glad I didn’t dine in Bistro and spent more money as the price of the soup in Bistro is also 38 MYR. The silver lining was that the spa was above expectations. The masseuse is incredibly experienced and if she opened a massage saloon in KL, I would be willing to visit again together with my wife, for the same price 300 MYR per pax per hour charged at Hyatt.
