The hotel was a run down. Renovations are currently on going. The water heater wasn't working on both rooms we booked. Breakfast were really limited and due to the renovation it was a make shift cafe near the pool, which was just adequately maintained. Nothing fancy.

This was the only hotel in the area we wanted to stop, and although part of a chain, it is very poor quality compared to Western standards. There is a huge dining room and the chef suggested his local dinner menu, which was very good, curry, a vegetable dish and rice. It is in a Muslim area, so no alcohol. However, we went into town on their suggestion and bought beer in The Store supermarket. We drank it in our room to be discreet. The breakfast wasn’t special, mostly Malay food. The room was large but old bathroom with a broken loo, and no shower curtain. The air con worked thankfully and the bed was ok. Staff very friendly.

I was here for a night due to a meeting. The room was newly refurbished and very clean. The carpet smell is fresh and the furnitures are new. The breakfast is typical malaysian breakfast and just okay. Parking space is adequate and the property is gated so you could park your car with a good sense of security.
