Bukit Jawi Golf Resort

Played the hills course as the lakes was closed on the day. The course is in great condition and well worth the trip from North Penang Island. Expect around 1 hour and 10 mins for the journey. Fairways, tees and greens were in great condition albeit they could do with a little heavy roll, the speed was good. Facilities were old and dated however they all worked. Pro shop was closed but drinks were available including beer. We really enjoyed our time here, by far the best course we played in Penang.

Played the lake course. Probably the best course among the three in Penang. However, the experience was ruined by the swarm of flies that were constantly annoying and disgusting, frankly. Unless they solve this problem, I will not return to this course. Very unfortunate.

Right now, it's just 333 RM per person for 2 days of unlimited golf plus 1 night accommodation in a large executive room. We have been to all the different golf courses on mainland Penang ... and this is the most scenic & well-maintained. There are 2 different courses at Bukit Jawi Golf Resort: the hill course and the lake course. The latter is more interesting to play and prettier, and its signature 15th hole is the most STUNNING we have ever played in all of Penang. You must stay here for the night. The view from the room is SENSATIONAL ... see photos we took from the balcony of the room at dawn. Best time to play is always early in the morning. Start at 7am and finish your first 18 holes before the heat of noon. Then take a break from the scorching heat with a dip in the swimming pool or take a nap in the air-conditioned comfort of your room. Resume playing the next 18 holes before 3:00pm and finish by sunset. Excellent service. Delicious food. Good people. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
