Pangkor Laut Resort

One of the most beautiful and incredible resorts we have had the opportunity to see in 30 years of almost continuous travel around the world. A complete resort in terms of facilities (pools, spa, beach, gym, leisure activities...) several very high-quality bars and restaurants, different types of accommodation (small houses on land or on stilts). Isolated on its own island but without any feeling of crowding, this hotel is perfectly suited for the end of a trip to Malaysia where calm and recovery are essential. Everything is planned and we noted very few areas for improvement. If I have to mention a few (being French, we can't help ourselves) I would note: the lack of a half-board option which turns out to be necessary since you are on an island more than 30 minutes by boat from the marina, but it offers prices that remain "reasonable" for a 5* resort (for 4 people, for the week we had a bill of €500); the very (too) small area for paddleboarding and canoeing (which makes renting somewhat useless) made necessary by currents a few dozen meters from the beach edge that are too strong; the price of spa treatments is a bit too high compared to the rest of the country in similar establishments, even if the quality is there. But for the rest, everything is perfect and the number of activities offered will allow everyone to find something they enjoy. We had the opportunity to go by boat to see the sunset. Not to be missed, because having a drink on board a boat accompanied by our THT guide was not just great, it was a meeting with a young man of incredible kindness and thoughtfulness. In short, if you are hesitating to come here (forget the comments of the few grumpy people who, anyway, would find something to say even in Paradise) do not ask yourself the question and go for it! The attentive staff (a bit like everywhere in Malaysia), the friendly and well-educated cosmopolitan clientele (and yes, that still exists on this earth) and the incredible setting (you would almost think you were in the Seychelles sometimes), the staff, the place, are all reasons to take the plunge.

Pangkor Laut Resort exceeded all our expectations. The island is absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful beaches, lush rainforest, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to completely relax. What truly sets this resort apart is the people. Every member of the staff was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel special throughout our stay, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The dining options were great, and the service was flawless from beginning to end. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience. We left with wonderful memories and sincerely hope to return one day.

We had an amazing 5-night stay at Pargkour Laut Resort with our family of five. Everything exceeded our expectations! The fishing trip was fantastic and one of the highlights of our stay. We also loved the jungle walk – it was a great experience and a wonderful way to explore the beautiful nature around the resort. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our rooms were beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of adventures. We highly recommend Pargkour Laut Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with great activities, excellent service, and comfortable accommodation. We would definitely love to come back!
