Promenade Hotel Sabah

I go to reception counter asking about the late check out and I was waiting my turn in front of the counter. Suddenly the concierge ( Michael ) approach me and ask if I need any assistance which is good and professional..while Michael trying to help me suddenly the reception lady shout out at Michael and ask him to drag me to next counter and said( Mike bawa pergi counter sebelah saya mahu rest!!) WHAT IS GOING ON????? You call this a 4 star hotel?..it's like pasar malam hotel!!!!

I stayed at Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu from 29–30 December 2025 and had a very pleasant experience. I was warmly welcomed upon arrival. The room was excellent—super clean, fresh-smelling, and came with a beautiful sea view that made the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was tasty with good variety, and overall the stay was comfortable and relaxing. I’m happy with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Kota Kinabalu.

We stayed at the Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu with our Intrepid group for two nights — one before and one after our visit to beautiful Manukan Island. The hotel is very centrally located, within easy walking distance of the fresh produce market, night market, handicraft market, and the lively waterfront area. The property has a modern, business-style feel. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured a very comfortable bed with excellent pillows. I especially appreciated having an iron and ironing board in the room — a thoughtful touch after moving around quite a bit during our travels. Breakfast was fabulous, with a generous buffet offering Malay, Asian, and European options, along with fresh fruit, salads, and great coffee. The staff were consistently pleasant and professional, with the concierge particularly helpful and always willing to assist with any query. I also made use of the hotel’s laundry service — my clothes were returned beautifully fresh, pressed, and neatly bagged on hangers, which was much appreciated. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in a great location, just a short Grab drive from Jesselton Point Ferry. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travellers visiting Kota Kinabalu. #thetravellingcouturier
