Our stay at The Taaras was wonderful. We truly enjoyed it. There are so many fun activities to do, including plenty for children. Bruce’s yoga session was amazing!

We had such a fantastic experience at The Taaras Redang, we especially enjoyed the services of the Recreation Desk. A very special thank you to Hasni, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything and helped us choose the best activities for our family. On our very first day, we booked a snorkeling boat trip that took us to two beautiful bays, including Turtle Bay, where we could snorkel with sea turtles. Before entering the water, we received excellent safety and wildlife advice—for example, to keep our hands in fists so the turtles wouldn’t mistake our fingers for squid. Our children remembered this tip perfectly, and it made us all feel much more confident and comfortable in the water. Because of this great introduction, we later felt confident enough to rent kayaks from the Recreation Desk and paddle to the neighboring bay to snorkel with the turtles on our own. We also joined another boat snorkeling trip later in our stay, and every experience was perfectly organized. The Recreation Desk provides everything you need: life jackets, snorkeling equipment, towels, drinking water, and even underwater cameras for rent. Being able to rent an underwater camera was a real highlight and we now have wonderful videos of our unforgettable encounters with the sea turtles that we will treasure forever. One thing we especially appreciated was the team’s respectful approach to the marine environment. With tourism on Redang growing, protecting the sea turtles is more important than ever. Throughout all of our trips, we felt that the Recreation team operated their boats carefully and responsibly. Their local knowledge, experience, and genuine respect for the wildlife gave us confidence that the turtles’ wellbeing always came first. That made the experience even more meaningful for us, because responsible tourism is the only way future visitors will also be able to enjoy these incredible animals in their natural habitat. The whole team made it so easy for us to enjoy these amazing experiences with our children. We could simply focus on making memories while everything else was taken care of. Thank you so much, Hasni, and the entire Activity Desk team, for making our stay so special. Snorkeling with sea turtles was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget.
