Redang Beach Resort

I did call customer service in KL, surprisingly no offend about being racist I m not that kind of person to me all racest are the same what makes it different it is just personality and politeness friendliness of a person especially working in hotel line,be nice and kind,not rude and arrogant,just waiting to answer just 1 -1 word when I ask,and seriously i don't intend to call again for booking,better to look out for nicer person who can explain nicely.If starting is bad,then makes me have bad feeling to stay in this resort.it happen I open Trip advisor and saw a lot of terrible comment.I felt sorry and if I know I wouldn't call at all.Because the Chinese lady who pick up and answer the phone is so not welcoming guest.sorry.

We stayed at this resort from August 19 to August 30 and it was a terrible experience. We had already been to Redang in 2018 and wanted to stay at the Redang Lagoon but unfortunately there were no rooms, as we were two families, we contacted a Malaysian agency called SARI to book another resort but it diverted us to the Redang beach resort. We needed a triple and a quadruple, not having them at the same price we were offered three triples. We looked at the photos, we liked them and we accepted. We had never done it!!! We arrived and instead of three triples we were given two doubles and a triple, which was basically a double with an extra bed, between the two beds there was not even space to put our feet on the ground to get off the bed, but the disgusting thing was the bathrooms of all three rooms, without the shower glass, with mold on the walls, very dirty. We asked to change and they offered us a three-bedroom apartment overlooking the latrine, paying another 1000€. The room being seen latrine was not rented and when they opened it to show us inside there was mouse droppings. In the village there were cockroaches and mice everywhere. The bathrooms of the pools and restaurant shameful! Bad food, after a few days despite having all inclusive, we decided to always eat at Laguna Redang. A dirtier resort I have never seen in my many trips, the Chinese who crowded it were dirty and rude. They cleaned their ears with cotton swabs and threw them out of the harbor, spit everywhere, really sucks and I'm not exaggerating. Not to mention the mattresses kept in the outdoor sub-stairs, near the mousetraps. Avoid it!!!

We stayed three nights in this hotel and I did not feel comfortable there. As soon as we arrived, just opposite the establishment, two huge ferries docked. The idyllic beach turned into a nightmare in seconds: swarms of travelers disembarked while several tractors invaded the sand to transport tourists to their hotels. At the reception, there was a rush: a huge crowd, and a person with a loudspeaker gave instructions to dozens of Asian tourists waiting there. Hello the tranquility! This hotel is more like a factory than a place to relax. Once that first bad impression passed, we were handed the keys to our room. It was clearly stated that it was a “standard” room, but frankly... what a disappointment! A tiny and sleazy room, with an extra bed in the middle for the fourth person... Without sound insulation, the room was on the ground floor, with views of the passage leading to the other rooms and the balcony opposite: Bof! The bathroom was also tiny. Every shower, we watered everything... I would have accepted these inconveniences if the price had been reasonable, but it was not: this hotel is very expensive. For the same rate, at the Perhentian, I had a sea view, three spacious rooms and a huge bathroom! Obviously the hotels in Redang are all very expensive and I don't understand why... Certainly the seabed is beautiful, but in the Perhentian too... The water may be clearer but hey... We tested the restaurant: frankly mediocre, with almost inedible dishes. Only the breakfast was correct. On the plus side: when no boat docks, the beach right in front is beautiful, with a nice snorkeling spot.
