New Cocohut Chalet

We went with a full board family package of 3 nights at Cozy Chalet, Perhantian Besar. The package included to-fro ferry, accommodation, fooding, boat trips with snorkeling. 1. Accomodation: The Cozy Chalet welcomes you right on the beach, but the chalets are all perched on the rocky face of the island. And this holds largely true for all the resorts and accomodation of Perhantian. We were a family of 6 including 2 senior citizens and 1 child. So we requested adjacent rooms and as lower floors as possible. The lady of the house Ms. Yang made that happen. She was kind enough to lend a walking stick for the elderly lady in our family. Though we booked triple occupancy rooms we were given two large rooms each with 2 double beds. Also the rooms were connected through a common door at the balcony. The balcony overlooked unhindered view of the blue sea. Sitting out with a cup of tea itself is an experience. The bathroom is basic with 24 hrs hot water and clean towels which will be changed if you ask for. Since the chalet is amidst trees, expect insects and mosquitoes. On request we were given mosquito repellent sprays. 2. Food The package comprised all 3 meals each day including one BBQ dinner on the 2nd night. The food is largely continental with wonderful taste and generous quantities. So much so that we had to repeatedly ask them to reduce the quantity so that he food on the table doesn't go wasted. Ms. Yang used to keep us company and ask for any feedback on the food spread and taste. She even cooked one day's special Malay fish curry for us. It was out of the world. The 5 course meal consisted of : *Soup of the day (chicken/tofu/sea weed) * tempura (prawn/ calamari), fried chicken, fried eggs * Vegetables * Non veg main course (siakap/grouper/ snapper) * fruits - accompanied by white rice and cool drinks 3. Snorkeling: The sharing boat took us to different and designated snorkeling spots on all the 3 days. Even if one doesn't do snorkeling, the boat ride along the various islands are itself enjoyable. Apart from whatever is in the package we asked the resort to pickup and drop us at the Kota Bharu airport. which they arranged for 220rm one way. We had a AC 12 Seater all for ourselves and a decent driver. The 3N4D trip to Perhantian was memorable more for the warm hospitality and caring attention of the owners who treated us as their own house guests. A very very strong recommendation for all the fellow travellers. Cozy deserves more than 5 stars.

The perfect vibe for a stay on perhentian island. It is a family that runs the place, and despite the fact that there are quite a lot of guests, they still know you personally.In the evening there is fish and meat bbq - you sit with your feet in the sand and have a beautiful view. Regularly a football match occurs on the beach. Really magical moments. The rooms are with air conditioning - basic but fine

We took a nights/meals/snorkling package to Cozy Chalet. The organization is on top! The staff is nice and available , always smiling. Excellent and local food. Good atmosphere, well placed, our simple and clean bungalow overlooked the beach. We highly recommend this address well located at the unbeatable value for money.
