Embudu Village

The location is perfect: 20 min from male with the speed boat. They take care of visitors immediately after arrival at the airport. You just have to walk up to the booth. The food is incredible. The weather changes quite a lot, but if you have enough days here you will enjoy all kinds of weather. We liked the island staff really much. From kind assistance during arrival and departure, to food choice tips at the restaurant or coconut opening. Special thanks to Hovinga, Kamal and Bandiya! We arrived on August fourth on this splendid, fantastic island immersed in nature unlike many others. It has still remained with the authentic Maldivian style and has not had luxurious modifications and for this reason we chose it. After a very long search and a comparison with other people who have already been to this island, I think I made the best choice. I am fully satisfied regarding the accommodations. We are now in room 74. It is a fantastic room, they are all beach villas. It is not necessary to pay higher fees to have a beach villa like in other resorts, because these are all beach villas that surround the island all 20 meters from the beach The nature on this island is spectacular, it feels like being on a desert island. Immersed in a spectacular fauna with different types of animals and the coral reef is around the whole island and surrounds it in a spectacular way. There are sharks, rays, turtles, beautiful fish, moray eels; it is a place absolutely recommended also for children. Because it is absolutely not dangerous to swim here. There is a beautiful, quiet and safe lagoon; there is no entertainment like in all the resorts. And that is precisely the reason why we chose it to experience a truly relaxing vacation just as we wanted it. For our anniversary with our ten-year-old daughter, we chose this island, and I must say that with each passing day we are totally happy and content, also because the food is excellent, beyond our expectations, with all the themed evenings. Both breakfast, lunch, and dinner are fantastic; we also have water available in our room at will. The price of everything else is standard and does not have exorbitant prices like other resorts. There are sun loungers everywhere on the island; you never have to fight to get a lounger, they are always available in any corner, and there are so many beaches along the island that are not very deep but super quiet and relaxing where one can stay in total peace. The staff is completely at your disposal and very professional. Super kind, always with a smile, ready to satisfy every need, and we even had a room change upon our request to stay in a part of the island with calmer water and a bit more of a lagoon. The diving center is well organized; they also do excursions organized directly by the reception, and in both cases we tried them and they are satisfactory, maximum professionalism and very reasonable costs. We will recommend this Embudu island to all the people who want to experience nature in the Maldives as it once was, very close to Malé in just 15 minutes by speedboat. We are truly satisfied and I think we will return in the future; our 15-day vacation is almost at an end, we almost thought we would get bored, but with each passing day we are even happier to be on this island that has given us so much for this vacation of ours. Also taking advantage of the well-equipped gym and a wonderful spa center , on this island you don't get bored, whether in contact with nature, with the sea, with the fish, wonderful beaches, and a lagoon. Where other boats come to snorkel on our reef This island will always remain in our hearts; it was exactly what I wanted from this vacation, it was the Maldivian experience I wanted. Thank you very much to the entire staff, from the first to the last, to the cooks, to the head chef who delighted and spoiled us with the food, and to the entire organization that keeps this island super clean. We returned from Embudu today. 10 great days on the beautiful barefoot island in the Maldives. It was our first stay ever in the Maldives and it was really good. Despite the rainy season, we mostly had great weather. Yesterday, on the day of departure, it rained for the only full day, so it was perfect that we were allowed to use the room until 4 p.m. Otherwise, there were only occasional showers, which was not bad at all. The food was varied and delicious. What we found very disadvantageous was the undrinkable Nescafe coffee that was served. It was much too strong. With an all-inclusive buffet, I actually expect either filter coffee or a machine where you can make coffee, latte, cappuccino, etc. That would be the only tip for an improvement. The staff at the bar were super friendly and always knew what you liked to drink. Snorkeling was an experience every day. Many colorful fish, moray eels, reef sharks right at the house reef. The snorkeling tour to Stingray City was super awesome. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you for the great time for our belated honeymoon. Our room was bungalow 73 and was very nicely decorated for our arrival, plus a great fruit platter and a small bottle of wine.
