probably the worst hotel i ever been too, and i travel to all continens in the world. First of all, the hotel need a major renovation… coackroches and everything is broken. So many times u need to talk with the reception to fix things. besides that, it isnt honest people who is working there. I was out all day and when i came home i saw that somebody been in my room, messing with my stuff. The workers stole around 400 euros and a perfume from my room. I talked with the hotel, they dont wanna show the camera footage and they didnt even wanna tell me who is working there or none. No help to get. The police in Malta even is useless.. they dont wanna check camera for stolen things in hotels, just made a report for insurance. Probably because its a common thing. There was even a cleaner in the middle of the night with a empty bucket, just watching who is leaving their rooms in the night. YOU SHOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I must give praise to the cleaning staff who were so sweet and kept the room topped up with ant spray and new sheets. But it was truly a horrible place to stay. All teenagers on their first holidays. The pool was good but do avoid folks, no matter how cheap. Loud all through the night too.

I’d like to start by saying that I have emotional ties to this hotel, when I grew up in Malta this was a place my friends would frequently have birthday parties so it holds a lot of memories for me. Upon arriving at the hotel and receiving our hotel key, our room was shocking! (If you do stay for any unknown reason & they give you room 242 just hand the key back and don’t bother!) the room had a crazy overwhelming smell of sewage, with nothing you could do about it! Along side that it was hot so we wanted the aircon on, which was a small portable one as shown in the picture, the tube kept popping off the back of this as it was barely holding on with multiple zip ties, meaning this aircon unit was simply creating hotter air being blown back into the room, you couldn’t go out on to the balcony as it was covered in cigarette butts and the smell of sewage was still strong, the view was a really tall wall anyway so kind of pointless, I just couldn’t do it so I went back to reception and said that the room is not fit for purpose and I am not happy I would like a new room, after approx 30 minutes of me sitting in reception, I am assuming a manager came over and helped find me a new room, I thought okay great, we were then given room 603, this was a pool view room with a newly installed AC, I was happy with the complete difference in this room and I thought nothing more of it. Fast forward a couple of days, it was approx 2 in the morning and I heard motion outside my bedroom door, this was not unusual as you’re in the centre of the party district so people are coming back to their rooms at all hours. All of a sudden there was a man standing at the end of my bed, I was still lying down in the dark looking at him looking at me thinking “am I dreaming this? Surely I’m dreaming this?” He then left the room, didn’t say a word and neither did I…I thought nothing more of it, 5 minutes later I get a knock on the door then the room opens and it’s security, baring in mind it’s 2 IN THE MORNING, he asks for my ID and anyone else in the rooms name, he called reception whilst in the room and told them and then told me okay thankyou and walked off, I said excuse me? I will get dressed now and I will meet you down in reception because I have no idea what has just happened and I am not happy about it. I walked down to reception, my adrenaline flew me down those stairs, I asked what the hell just happened, met also by the man who let himself into my room. The receptionist explained that when my room was changed, the person who changed my room did not update it on the system so on their computer, it said the room was available and I was essentially still in room 242 - now I understand how this isn’t technically the receptionists fault as he’s just going by what he can see on his computer but you’d have to understand my frustration of being woken up twice by people entering my room at 2am, the receptionist tried to ask me to explain what the man who dealt with my request looked like, as if I could remember anything like that from a few days ago. Now you might be thinking oh why didn’t you have the chain on the door? Oh, because there wasn’t one! I don’t know if that’s every room but mine certainly didn’t and neither did the original room. This was a massive security breach overall. As well as all of this, when it came to cleaning the room, I don’t tend to want/need my room cleaned every day so I make use of the do not disturb/please make up my room sign, the one day that I asked them to make up my room, I helped them out as I had split a drink and ate a pastizzi in the bed so I wanted the sheets changed, I stripped the bed and put the sheets neatly at the end, when I came back, the bed was made but using the same sheets so a little pointless if you ask me? The shower gel/shampoo dispenser didn’t work in the shower which I guess is good for them as it’s one less thing to have to refill or give a wipe down. This hotel attracts a certain type of clientele…mainly those looking to get off their faces on the 200 shots for 50 euro deals around the corner, as I said, this hotel holds a lot of memories for me hence my reason for choosing it but those memories have been overtaken by strange men letting themselves into my room now. The only “good” thing about this hotel is the fact that it’s so close to lots of shops and obviously the clubs etc, a lively area but you can’t hear the clubs/music as it’s clearly well insulated, only problem is the 18 year old lads on their first lads holiday stumbling back to their rooms at 4am shouting in the hallways between rooms and continuing the party in the hallways. I am a frequent flyer to Malta, but next time I will just get an air b&b or maybe even stay in Gozo, I would recommend it.
