Marlin Creek

We loved staying here because the staff were all We walked to different restaurants every evening and the furthest was a 30 minute walk. The nearest about 5 minutes. The hotel owner offered to drop us off at any restaurant but we like to walk. The roads are dark and not all of them have pavements so you need a torch. The local buses are also a lot of fun.

This is a lovely little spot to relax. The pool is very warm and the vibe is intimate. The restaurants are strung out along the road. The owner of the hotel offers lifts there but you either walk back in the dark or get a taxi. We walked both ways in every case but sometimes it was 30 minutes each way. That and the lack of a good local beach may put some people off but if you are prepared to walk a little you will find very nice beaches with nobody around. We also used the local buses to get around, good fun and cheap.

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved the place, big spaces rooms, with a simple but functional interior, loved the "open" shower room. Big comfortable beds, balconies surrounded by lovely gardens providing good shade. rooms with AC and fan, as well as a kitchenette. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room is long thin and actually swimmable. It is slightly set back from the road so is quiet. Has on site parking. Great place.
