Estancia Real

A lovely hotel with a perfect central location. The rooms are a little dated but clean. I loved the beautiful pool in the middle of the building and the tasty Mexican breakfast. The best part was the staff, who were incredibly friendly.

Very, very bare bones! Concrete dresser, tape holding the front of tv on, no refrigerator or even ice - asked where ice was and the waitress got me two small cups. Very disappointing! Staff basically spoke no English. Came back from beach to find puddles of water on the floor and A/C NOT WORKING! Lots of road noise from the street. Window opened to the street - anyone could pop the lock and get in!!! Not exactly safe!! Good location but not a 3-4 star! Maybe a 2 on a good day! Staff was friendly, breakfast included unpeeled oranges and banana and dry bread/unsweet buns or pay for other food. No smoke alarms and they gave my daughter a key without asking for any ID! This deactivated the 2 keys - rekeyed but those didn’t work - we’re told we’d have to try and get her to open from inside! He couldn’t open it tho she didn’t put extra locks on! Luckily she woke and let us in. The repair guy is here working on A/C and it’s getting quite warm! Oh, and barely got to hotel last night because streets were too flooded to get thru! Like a shallow river on the street in front of the hotel. Very disappointed, even though the price wasn’t real high! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The location of the hotel is good. Just 2 blocks from Av. Lazaro Cardenas, which is the coast of Cabo San Lucas. Close to Puerto Paraiso and the marina, as well as Chedraui and Walmart stores, as well as a McDonalds. The rooms are large, but with cement furniture, which is usually a feature of budget hotels. The pool is large and even though it has a wetbar, it looks old and a little sloppy. During my stay it is not working. In my review the hotel has potential, both for its location and its facilities, it just needs a good investment to improve its appearance and facilities.
