The hotel was the former residence of the Governor of Ensenada so we were told by the staff. In January it was converted into a hotel right on the ocean (no beach front or access). There are 7 rooms, we got a second floor with a balcony which was wonderful, downside was there are no drawers in bed or bath room to put your things and a very small closet. Other downside is very low lighting in the bathroom, most women will struggle to apply makeup. Also on this side of the property there is a restaurant right next door with a dog that began barking at 1:30 am, first night for 3 hours and kept us awake. In the morning I told several staff members and they said they would address it. Unfortunately on night two the dog began again at 1:30, at 2:15 I called the guard and complained, he said he would check into it but it continued for another 45 minutes. Upon check out I again let them know so they could address the problem. The hotel is decorated beautifully and has a spa area, prices begin at $120 for a massage which is high for the area. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. Note - there is not a restaurant nor bar, it is more of a bed & breakfast situation, they will make you breakfast to order, coffee, tea & orange juice available in the dining area. They do have a small wine list and there is someone to order a glass or bottle from. Again think bed & breakfast. The property is amazing but it is one of the most expensive in the area. Glad we stayed once but we could rent a house on the ocean for these prices.

Beautiful private boutique hotel. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. Love listening to the ocean outside our room. Pablo and Eddie was very friendly and helpful. Infinity pool and jacuzzi. The view from our room was amazing!
